About Akapulu Labs

Akapulu Labs is an AI research lab building a platform for AI avatars: live conversations and scripted video clips. You can launch an AI assistant that joins a live call with your users, responds naturally, and follows your defined behavior. You can also generate a talking-avatar video from a script, over the API.

How it works

During a live call, the bot follows your configured behavior, including:
  • global role prompts for overall persona and tone
  • stage-specific instructions for each part of the conversation
  • tool access for actions like transitions, endpoints, knowledge, or vision
A scripted clip is offline: you supply the line, we generate talking-avatar audio and video. Clips do not use the Web SDK. For a full walkthrough of live calls, see How it works. For clips, see Overview.
